Can I give my zakat to the mosque?
No. Zakat is given to the categories named in at-Tawbah 9:60 and cannot be spent on building or running a mosque. That is why zakat is kept in a separate account and delivered only to eligible recipients. To support the mosque, you may give sadaqah or sadaqah jariyah.
Can I donate for a loved one who has passed away?
Yes. According to Sunni scholars, the reward of charity given on behalf of the deceased reaches them. In the donation form, choose “For someone who has passed away” and write their name.
Are my card details safe?
Your card details never reach our systems. Payment is completed on the secure page of a licensed payment institution.
How is my donation used?
Only for the cause you choose. Gifts for mosque expenses cover lighting, heating, cleaning and upkeep. We publish period reports on the Transparency page.
