Hajj & Umrah
Hajj is an act of worship obligatory once in a lifetime for every Muslim who is able; Umrah, a strongly recommended sunnah in the Hanafi school, can be performed at any time of year. This page is for information only.
Our mosque is not authorised to take Hajj or Umrah registrations, sell packages or refer you to agencies. Registration is made only through the official channels of the Presidency of Religious Affairs.
How are Hajj registrations made?
In Türkiye, Hajj is organised by the Presidency of Religious Affairs (Diyanet). Pre-registrations are taken each year, according to the published calendar, via e-Devlet or through provincial and district mufti offices; pilgrims are then determined by the Presidency’s procedure.
Umrah
Umrah trips can be made with organisations run by the Presidency or through travel agencies holding an authorisation certificate from it. Please disregard offers from people or companies without such authorisation.
Preparing
- Attend the Hajj and Umrah seminars held by mufti offices.
- Ask your religious questions to the mufti offices or the Alo Fetva 190 line.
- Complete health and document requirements according to official announcements.
