Privacy Notice (KVKK)

Data controller

This notice is provided under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) by the Şakirin Mosque Preservation Association as data controller.

Data we process

• Donations: first and last name, email, phone (optional), amount and cause, name of the person on whose behalf you give (optional), transaction records.
• Contact and application forms: name, contact details and message; education details for scholarship applications.
• Website use: IP address and technical logs for security.

We never process or store your card details; payments are handled by a licensed payment institution.

Purposes and legal grounds

Your data is processed to receive and record donations, to meet legal fundraising and accounting obligations, to respond to your requests and to keep the site secure — on the grounds, under Article 5(2) KVKK, of being expressly provided for by law, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations and legitimate interest.

Transfers

Your data is shared only with the payment institution, competent public authorities and our hosting provider, limited to these purposes.

Retention

Donation records are kept for the period required by law; other data for as long as the purpose requires.

Your rights

Under Article 11 KVKK you may ask whether your data is processed, request correction or deletion, and object. You can reach us via the Contact page.
